Teaching phonics doesn't have to mean boring our students to tears. It can actually be a lot of fun and incredibly helpful for students learning to read and spell. This is true of native speakers, but doubly true of Multilingual Learners, especially those with interrupted learning, or who come from language backgrounds with a very different alphabet than English. In this session, we'll cover the main stages of teaching phonics and how to incorporate them into your lessons in engaging and effective ways. Our primary focus will be on K-5 students, but we'll also discuss how phonics can be incorporated for secondary students as well. This live session will be recorded and shared with all registrants afterward.
