This 3 Day Orton-Gillingham (OG) course is designed to meet the needs of classroom teachers and instructional support staff to provide structured literacy instruction aligned with the science of reading. The primary focus of the training is to support participants to effectively deliver OG as a preventative approach for supporting word recognition skills in elementary-level classrooms. Utilizing this model as a preventative measure effectively reduces the number of students identified as at-risk readers, reducing the strain on staff and schedules to provide Tier 2 and 3 interventions. Intensification routines within an OG lesson for students needing additional support will also be addressed in this training. This training consists of: 15 PGP's/credit hours for the in-person training. Participants are required to attend all 3 days of OG training instruction from 9-3.
