~WVEC Title 4 - Design STEM Virtual Field Trip for 4th & 5th Grade Classrooms - Hosted by Purdue CATALYST - May 15

4th and 5th grade classrooms can participate in the virtual Design STEM Kids Conference hosted by CATALYST at Purdue. Your class will sign up for one day to explore and engage in two inquiry/project-based STEM activities. The activities include live, virtual instruction with CATALYST STEM education staff. Curriculum guides and supplies are provided for the activities. Teachers pick one of the following dates to participate: November 14, May 15, or May 16. There are two sessions each day from 9:30 to 11:00 and 12:30 to 2:00 (All times are Eastern Standard Times). This registration is for May 15, 2025.

• This field trip is for WVEC Title 4 Member Schools 4th and 5th grade classrooms only.  This is a classroom activity and registration is for one individual 4th or 5th grade classroom.
• Multiple teachers from a school can participate, but each classroom and teacher will need to have their own separate classroom registration.  
• Choose ONE day: November 14, May 15, or May 16.

• This registration is for May 15.

• Be aware that all times are Eastern Time.  If your school is in the Central time zone, you may need to make special arrangements with your students.

Your Class Will Participate in two sessions on May 15:

• 9:30-11:00 and 12:30–2:00 (Eastern Time)

• Only 15 classrooms can be registered for each day
• All materials and a teacher guide will be provided to you for each classroom
• Teachers are asked to participate in a virtual technology check and lesson overview before the conference - (Purdue will set this up with you later)
• A link will be sent to teachers one week prior to conference
