As a teacher, you know when a lesson isn’t accessible for your multilingual learners, leaving them disengaged or excluded from classroom learning activities. Let’s build your confidence and capacity in this area! Participants in this workshop will gain an understanding of the legal imperative we have to share collective ownership of instructional equity for multilingual learners. Then, through direct modeling and application to classroom activities, we will get to know key methods for making lesson delivery, content, and assessment comprehensible. Educators will leave with a toolbox of scaffolding methods to apply immediately in the gen. ed. classroom. K-5 teachers will meet from 9:00-11:30am and 6-12 teachers will meet from 12:30-3:00pm.
