An effective literacy framework uses a data-driven process across all tiers of instruction. By understanding the types of assessment tools available and how to interpret the data, we are better prepared to make decisions regarding core enhancements and intensification to support all students. This session will support participants to: Identify possible gaps or overlaps in current assessment tools; Analyze universal screening data to identify which skills to address through whole-group core enhancements versus small-group interventions; Interpret diagnostic data to drive tier 2 and 3 interventions; and Implement a progress-monitoring plan to measure growth and identify areas needing more intense support.
