Retrieval practice gets a lot of attention in cognitive science and for good reason. Teachers who embrace it see real gains in student learning. But what about spaced practice? While retrieval strengthens memory, spaced practice reinforces that learning over time, further helping move that information into long-term memory. In this session, you’ll learn how to combine these two strategies to increase retention without adding to your workload.
