We should expect kids to be unmotivated to do unmotivating work. So how do we create learning experiences that tap into students' intrinsic motivations? And what are those motivations? In this session, we'll explore six intrinsic motivators that can be woven into just about any learning experience so that the work is worth doing from students' perspectives. We'll also touch on why we should move away from the use of extrinsic motivators (such as incentive systems) if we want kids to truly be self-motivated about school work.
