*T3 Literacy Series with Valentina Gonzalez - Reading and Writing with English Learners: Exploring More!

Let's explore more! In this full-day, face-to-face session with Valentina Gonzalez, participants will engage in a powerful day of examining reading and writing practices that support English Learners in reading and writing classrooms. We will dig deeper into user-friendly, high-yield teaching methods that scaffold and support reading and writing with English Learners. Educators that attended the June virtual session are invited to join us, and educators that did not attend in June are encouraged to come as well. Everyone will walk away with new ways to reach and teach ELs. This retreat will be held at the Beck Ag Center in West Lafayette.

Session Objectives

• Examine culturally inclusive reading and writing pedagogy
• Investigate linguistics accommodations that support ELs at various proficiency levels
• Plan instruction that meets ELs linguistic and academic needs using all language domains
• Infuse lesson planning with listening, speaking, reading, and writing
