Description

Know that your students are fake-reading? Seeing a lack of engagement, particularly with complex texts? Unsure of how to teach both comprehension strategies and your content? Not sure how to fit it all in? This workshop will feature comprehension strategies for students across the spectrum of reading and writing abilities for the 6-12 classroom as well as ways of facilitating a meaningful community of writers. Mini-lessons, conferring, independent reading time, and practical strategies for incorporating a workshop approach into a secondary classroom will be covered.

This workshop will be held at Hobart High School in Hobart, IN.  You will enter through Door 1 and will meet in Room LC111.

ALL TIMES FOR THIS WORKSHOP ARE CENTRAL TIME!
